Château Valandraud is located in the French commune of Saint-Étienne-de-Lisse in western France. The winery belongs to the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation and is located in the Bordeaux wine-growing region.

In 1955, the winery was included in the classification of Saint-Émilion wines with the red wine from Chateau Valandraud. From 1955 to 2011, this red wine was part of the Grand Cru Classé. In 2012, Château Valandraud was included in the Premier Grand Cru Classé B and has been in this quality level ever since. The classification of Bordeaux wine according to quality levels is intended to clarify the quality and price level of the wines produced.

The grape varieties Merlot (85%), Cabernet Franc (9%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (6%) are grown on an area of ​​around 6.5 hectares for the first wine of Chateau Valandraud - also known as Grand Vin. Around 27,500 bottles of wine are produced annually.

A second wine is also produced. This red wine is marketed under the name "Virginie de Valandraud" and consists of the grape varieties Merlot (80%) and Cabernet Franc (20%). However, the second wine of Chateau Valandraud does not belong to the 1er Grand Cru Classé B.
