Collection: Château Lascombes
Château Lascombes is located in the French commune of Margaux-Cantenac in the west of France. The winery belongs to the Margaux appellation and is located in the Bordeaux wine-growing region.
With the first wine from Chateau Lascombes - also known as "Grand Vin" - the winery was included in the Bordeaux classification in 1855. Since then, this red wine has belonged to the Deuxième Grand Cru Classé. The classification of Bordeaux wine according to quality levels is intended to clarify the quality and price level of the wines produced.
The grape varieties Merlot (50%), Cabernet Sauvignon (45%) and Petit Verdot (5%) are grown on an area of around 84 hectares. Around 250,000 bottles of the "Grand Vin" are produced annually. The second wine of Château Lascombes, "Chevalier de Lascombes", does not belong to the 2ème Grand Cru Classé. Around 70,000 bottles of this wine are produced.
