Collection: Château Latour

Château Latour is located in the French commune of Pauillac in western France. The winery belongs to the Pauillac appellation and is situated in the Bordeaux wine region.

With its first wine – also known as the "Grand Vin" – Château Latour was admitted to the Bordeaux classification in 1855. Since then, this red wine has belonged to the Premier Grand Cru Classé. The classification of Bordeaux wines into quality levels is intended to clarify the quality and price level of the wines produced.

On an area of approximately 65 hectares, the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon (75%), Merlot (20%), Cabernet Franc (4%) and Petit Verdot (1%) are cultivated for red wine.

Approximately 200,000 bottles of "Grand Vin de Château Latour" are produced annually. Château Latour's second wine, "Les Forts de Latour," is not a Premier Cru Classé and has been produced since 1966. Since 1990, Château Latour has also produced a third wine, simply named "Pauillac" or "Pauillac de Latour."
