Collection: Château Latour

Château Latour is located in the French commune of Pauillac in the west of France. The winery belongs to the Pauillac appellation of the same name and is located in the Bordeaux wine-growing region.

With the first wine from Chateau Latour - also known as "Grand Vin" - the winery was included in the Bordeaux classification in 1855. Since then, this red wine has belonged to the Premier Grand Cru Classé. The classification of Bordeaux wine according to quality levels is intended to clarify the quality and price level of the wines produced.

On an area of ​​approximately 65 hectares, the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon (75%), Merlot (20%), Cabernet Franc (4%) and Petit Verdot (1%) are grown for red wine.

Around 200,000 bottles of the “Grand Vin de Château Latour” are produced every year. However, Château Latour’s second wine, “Les Forts de Latour”, does not belong to the 1er Grand Cru Classé and has been produced since 1966. Since 1990, Chateau Latour has also produced a third wine. This is simply called “Pauillac” or “Pauillac de Latour”.
