Château Troplong Mondot is located in the French commune of Saint-Laurent-des-Combes in the west of France. The winery belongs to the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation and is located in the Bordeaux wine-growing region.

In 1955, the winery was included in the classification of Saint-Émilion wines with the red wine from Chateau Troplong Mondot. From 1955 to 2005, this red wine was part of the Grand Cru Classé. In 2006, Château Troplong Mondot was included in the Premier Grand Cru Classé B and has been in this quality level ever since. The classification of Bordeaux wine according to quality levels is intended to illustrate the quality and price level of the wines produced.

The grape varieties Merlot (90%), Cabernet Franc (5%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (5%) are grown on an area of ​​around 33 hectares. Around 120,000 bottles of wine are produced annually.
