Collection: Château Lafon-Rochet

Château Lafon-Rochet is located in the French commune of Saint-Estèphe in western France. The winery belongs to the Saint-Estèphe appellation and is located in the Bordeaux wine-growing region.

With the first wine from Chateau Lafon Rochet—also known as the "Grand Vin"—the winery was admitted to the Bordeaux Classification in 1855. Since then, this red wine has been part of the Quatrième Grand Cru Classé. The classification of Bordeaux wines according to quality levels is intended to clarify the quality and price levels of the wines produced.

The grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon (55%), Merlot (40%), and Cabernet Franc (5%) are cultivated on an area of approximately 45 hectares. Approximately 120,000 bottles of this "Grand Vin" are produced annually. However, Château Lafon-Rochet's second wine, "Les Pèlerins de Lafon-Rochet," is not classified as a 4th Grand Cru Classé.
